First Day Of Spring

The snow has melted to reveal a nice muddy lawn. Where did all the grass go? I guess with all the new paws digging into the lawn, the grass is pretty sparse. We reseeded the lawn and I tried to have the girls (beagle pups) out for a bit. I was so happy to see some of my plants poking through the soil and the puppies were ecstatic when they found some bunny poopers.
When I was digging around in the leaves I noticed a fuzzy caterpillar sitting on the top. Oh, this really does mean its spring when the bugs start to emerge. Speaking of bugs, dh is still at war with ants in our basement. I've never seen him like this before. He's always been a compassionate guy towards all living things but he has taken this mission so seriously that its rather ridiculous. I expect at any moment to see him smearing on war paint.
