Cheeser Teasers

A great movie snack. Not Cheese Teasers. Cheeser Teasers When I was a teen we would stop at a local gas station for a hot bag of these treats. Of course gas stations don't carry the healthiest foods but these thing were so tasty. They stopped carrying them though and then for a short time Schwans offered them and then stopped carrying them too. I was sure I would be able to find them on the internet, but all I found was a recipe for a dog treat. So what is a Cheeser Teaser?

It's kind of like a large tater tot with two crimped sides. Inside is a pocket of zesty, hot cheddar cheese. Kind of like a shot of Mexican Velveeta cheese. I'm not a big tater tot eater but these things were such a tasty snack. We didn't eat them much but when they were around, they were gobbled up. They were greasy little buggers & probably fattening as hell, but I can see them being a huge hit.

So what happened to the Cheeser Teasers?!? Did someone bite down on a hot one to have it squirt scorching cheese in their eye? Cheeser Teasers lawsuit?

If all is well, Ore-Ida® really should create a filled tater tot. Don't you think?
